We utilize our membership to provide the community with reliable and evidence-based nutrition expertise. Whether you are a current or prospective member, we encourage you to explore the opportunities at GADA for serving the community and supporting your professional growth.

As a member, there are many ways to get involved with GADA:

Mentoring is a great way to get involved with the Association and also make a difference in the life of another dietitian and the dietetic community as a whole.

Mentoring Resources

Looking for a Mentor or Mentee? Register Now!

The Academy’s new eMentoring system is available to all members. If you’re looking for a mentor or mentee, you can search for one using a variety of parameters such as geographic location, years of experience, practice area, languages spoken and even types of mentoring. Remember, this system was created to help you find the right mentor or mentee among participating Academy members; how you implement the program is up to you

Membership Committee is always looking for enthusiastic and creative volunteers. Help increase membership participation by volunteering with the Membership Committee.

The Professional Development Committee works to increase awareness of RDs in the community and to provide a variety of opportunities for our members to network and enhance their professional growth.

GADA offers many volunteer opportunities throughout the membership year. Volunteer for special events such as National Nutrition Month, the annual Hunger Walk, health fairs, and community garden events. To volunteer, please contact Ingrid Hill at ingridhill@bellsouth.net

GADA supports the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Political Action Committee (GANDPAC) on legislative issues.
