How did you get started in your profession?  I was always interested in health, and after an introduction to nutrition class at Georgia State with Tamara Melton, I was sold.

What do you like best about being a dietitian?I love the plethora of opportunities that are available to me and the fact that there’s always something new to learn in an ever-changing and growing profession.

What do you like best about being a GADA member? I love learning new information from the professional development opportunities and networking with other dietitians.

What is your favorite food? Everything bagel with cream cheese

Profession you’d choose if not dietetics? Public Health

Hobbies: Traveling to new cities and countries, hiking, anything outdoors, playing guitar, singing, writing, cooking

Top of your bucket list:  Hike the GA section of the Appalachian Trail

Words of wisdom for other dietetic and Nutrition Professionals: There are so many avenues and opportunities to pursue in the field of nutrition, food, and health – don’t be afraid take the road less traveled and do what makes you happy.
